Line 3 of the Panama Metro will depart from the Albrook Station and will travel through Arraiján, Nuevo Chorrillo and arrive at Ciudad del Futuro.
Arturo Vallarino, responsible for the prefabricated plant of Line 3 of the Panama Metro, said that the project is 8% complete.
As detailed, this line reports 8% progress. To date, more than 200 piles and 10 running beams have been built at the Vacamonte precast plant, which will function as a rail system.
According to Vallarino, it is the first time that Panama has built these beams:
Line 3 will have 1,587 running beams.
Each beam takes about two days to produce.
The maximum plant output will be four beams per day.
The transfer of these beams is similar to that of the previous lines.
Each beam can cost between B/.50,000.00 and B/.60,000.00.
It is expected that in early 2024 the manufacture of the beams will be completed and their installation will begin.
Currently the prefabricated plant has 350 workers; it is expected that at the peak of production there will be more than 500 collaborators.
Line 3 of the Panama Metro will depart from the Albrook Station and will travel through Arraiján, Nuevo Chorrillo and arrive at Ciudad del Futuro.
It will have a route in its first phase of 24.5 kilometers. In September 2021, construction began on the Ciudad del Futuro station, the first of the 14 stations on this line.
