At ALIA Concretos, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and responsible environmental management. For the second consecutive year, we have been recognized by the Ministry of Environment of Panama (MiAMBIENTE) and the National Climate Transparency Platform through the “Reduce Your Corporate Footprint – Carbon” program, which promotes the measurement, reduction, and offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions nationwide.
The recognition ceremony took place at the Miraflores Room of the Sheraton Albrook Hotel. There, we received this prestigious award from the Ministry of Environment authorities, serving as a testament to our continuous efforts to responsibly manage our carbon footprint.
Central to these efforts is our Greentec green concrete, developed with CarbonCure technology, which makes us pioneers in Panama’s sustainable concrete production. This innovation allows for the capture and reuse of $CO_2$ during the manufacturing process, significantly reducing the construction carbon footprint without compromising material quality or strength.
During the event, the launch of the second stage of the National Climate Transparency Platform was also announced. This key tool strengthens accountability and climate action in Panama, aligning with the country’s international commitments to combat climate change.
